Handmade by local artist Robert (Bob) Wiederrick, a long time Wood River Valley resident and master metal smith.
Features
The process - The back plate is cut from steel plate and hand hammer-textured on an anvil. The trout is cut out using a band-saw, edges are filed smooth, and details are hand tooled using a variety of punches and chisels. The box is sand blasted, wire brushed and painted. The final step is a clear wax finish to protect the metal.
