Pale Morning Duns (PMDs) start to hatch in early June.  In the beginning of the summer, they start out in larger sizes (16), but as the summer goes on they become smaller (sizes 18 and 20).  On Silver Creek, you will find this to be a very important early season hatch, providing excellent fishing in the mornings (spinner falls) and in the evening right before dark (emergence).
